Flag of Oregon
Officially State of Oregon
What the flag looks like
A navy blue field with, in gold, "STATE OF OREGON" above and "1859" below the shield of the state seal, which is ringed by 33 stars; the reverse shows a gold beaver.
What it means
The 33 stars mark Oregon as the 33rd state, and the shield shows mountains, forest, a covered wagon and ships under an eagle, for the pioneers who settled it.
How to remember it
Oregon
is gold on navy with "STATE OF OREGON" over the shield, and it's the only state flag with a different back: a beaver.
Fun facts
