Flag of Andorra
Officially Principality of Andorra
What the flag looks like
A vertical tricolor of blue, yellow and red, with the yellow center band slightly wider than the others and bearing the national coat of arms.
What it means
The colors combine those of France and Catalonia, reflecting Andorra's two co-princes; the arms unite the mitre and crozier of the Bishop of Urgell with the emblems of Foix, Catalonia and Béarn.
How to remember it
Blue-yellow-red with a shield of mitre, stripes and two red cows in the middle: Andorra's
crest has no eagle (that's Moldova
), and plain Romania
and Chad
have no crest at all.
